Ruth Ann (Kellison) Curry, 54 of Pinckneyville, passed away at 3:10 p.m. on Friday, February 03, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Coulterville surrounded by her family after her courageous  7 year battle with cancer.  She was born on July 18, 1962 in East St. Louis, the daughter of Frank and Dorothy Caniff Kellison.  She is survived by her parents of Pinckneyville, a son; John Jetton and girlfriend Rachel Anderson of Pinckneyville. 2 daughters; Jessica Jetton and fiance  Douglas Wilhelm of Coulterville and Brianna Stehl and fiancé Thomas Bittles of Pinckneyville. 8 grandchildren; Clayton, Mackenzie, Maycee, Paycen, Paxton, Nixon, Lennon and Parker.  4 sisters; Christine Brown of Pinckneyville, Kimberly Schramke and husband Michael of Pinckneyville, Ellen Price of Wood River and Jennifer Quillman of Swanwick.  Her fiance’; Gus Baum of Tamaroa and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.  She was preceded in death by her “buddy” Monroe Kurtz.

Ruth was the former owner/operator of The Jet Cafe in Nashville.  She was also a CNA, bartender and cleaned homes in the area.  She was a member of the Pinckneyville Eagles Lodge #2522 and enjoyed camping, shopping, antiquing and spending time with her grandkids.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Coultervile City Cemetery with Rev. Colin Hirsch officiating.  Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville.  Memorial contributions are suggested.
