Priscilla you brought so much joy to Howard's life.He was so proud of you and he was so happy to be with you.In youth group Howard was the best with kids who were hurt in life.He was also so proud to be Native American.His ministry blessed so many with his service and compassion.The early contempary worship service he started with Dan Kingery still continues today.

Priscilla and family, may your beautiful memories of Howard be of comfort. He was a wonderful man. I very much enjoyed hearing him speak at church and was uplifted by his beautiful voice. I could listen to him sing all day long I think.

I LOVED Howard, we were roommates on a Walk to Emmaus weekend retreat in Quincy while he was here; very giving and forgiving. Shocked and saddened by his death. Blessings to all

I was shocked to hear of Howard's passing earlier today. He was a great uncle to me, my sisters and all of my cousins. I remember the day that he came home from Vietnam. We were all so shocked at how thin and frail he had become. He loved his country but more importantly he loved his Lord and Savior .

I am so saddened to hear of Mr. Self's passing. (Lorel, I still can't call him Howard ;,,,) I can only imagine the pain you are experiencing. I wish there were words to describe how much your family means to me. SO many memories come rushing back as I think of him, the easter pots and pans, al the times I (lived) with you, The times we got in trouble for talking all night long, and sneaking out....He was always the one protect his family, (grafted in or natural)....Always the calm smile, (as long as you didn't drink the last coke)....My prayer along with so many others, is that you will take comfort in knowing this is not forever, it is for a blink...And he knew and lived that....So while my heart aches for y'all, my soul rejoices that he is with Jesus now. He has done a wonderful job raising y'all. Love and Prayers to all. Stacia

I'm so sorry to hear of Mr Self's passing. I remember him fondly from when he brought his schnauzers, Benji and Naomi, in for haircuts. He was a very kind man.

Alan, thanks for your message. We were just talking about New Orleans and our travels there with Howard's service to UCC Disaster Ministries and Justice and Wittness Ministries. We wondered if you were still in NOLA and remembered that final service there when the Jazz group marched us out of the church and down the street NO style
