MY SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY OF GARY SMALL. I AM LEAVING TOWN THIS EVENING AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE THE VISITATION. HE WAS AN EAGLE SCOUT AND FIRECRAFTER LIKE MYSELF AND I'M SORRY TO HEAR OF HIS PASSING.

Dear Betty, Pat, Rodney & Gary's children---Our every thought is with you right now and you are in our prayers. You must be proud of Gary's accomplishments---he was a sweet child and his mother knew the importance of knowing our heavenly Father and taught the Small children well! Betty, Pat, Rodney and Gary's children... I am so sorry to hear of Gary's untimely passing! Gary and I were classmates and he was truly a guy with a heart of gold. May God comfort you at this difficult time. RIP Gary! I will be praying for you all!

Pat,
I was so very sorry to learn of your brother's passing. It's never easy to let go of those we love and have been on this life's journey with us. I cannot begin to imagine what you and your family are going through during this difficult time. What I do know is that God is near to the brokenhearted and He rescues those whose spirits are crushed. So, for as long as you grieve, may it be a comfort to know that the more you need Him, the closer He will be. May the love of God sustain you, His peace be with you and His promises comfort each of you during this time of sorrow. And, may you find comfort in knowing that others are keeping you and your entire family close in thought and prayer.

I have such fond memories of Gary Small with his family in Nashville and in the Baptist church. I remember Gary's infectious smile and his wit. He was a good man and he will be missed by many.
