Bonnie J. Ellis, 77 of Pinckneyville, passed away at 11:10 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19,2017 at Washington County Hospital in Nashville.  She was born on January 19, 1940 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the daughter of Cecil P. and Opal O. Quartermouse Jackson.  She married Bill Ellis in December of 1956 and he passed away in June of 2011.  She was also preceded in death by her parents.  Left to mourn her passing are 3 daughters; Vicki (Steve) Hagene of Pinckneyville, Karen (Frank) Overy of Bird City, KS and Sue Moreno of San Antonio, TX.  2 sisters; Faye Mott and Debbie Tipton both of Benton Harbor, MI.  3 grandchildren; Tyler Howard of Centralia, Justin (Becca) Howard of Belleville and their children; Lennon and Harrison and Briana Overy and her children; Adonus and Brecein.

Mrs. Ellis was a retired cook and enjoyed crocheting.

Cremation will be performed and there will be no services. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements
