Wilma M. Maschhoff

Wilma M. Maschhoff 89 of Hoyleton, passed away at 9:05 a.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at her residence.  She was born on August 10, 1923 in Hoffman, the daughter of Richard and Anna Twenhafel Redeker.  She married Willard H. Maschhoff on September 25, 1955 in Ferrin and he passed away on November 7, 1982.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, 2 brothers; Wilbert and Richard (Florence) Redeker and 2 sisters; Erna Tyberendt and Betty Thusius, 2 brother in laws; Leonard (Alma) Maschhoff and Paul Maschhoff. A sister in law; Leona (Paul) Knolhoff.  Left to mourn her passing is a son; Darrel (Lucy) Maschhoff of Hoyleton.  A granddaughter; Linda (Steve) Kleiboeker of Hoyleton.  2 great grandchildren; Leah and Kyle Kleiboeker.  A brother; Luther Redeker of Shattuc and a sister; Eunice (Ray) Hausler of New Minden, brother in laws; Paul Tyberendt and Roger Thusius and sister in laws; Norma Maschhoff and Alvira Redeker along with several nieces and nephews.

Prior to getting married, Wilma worked at the Brown Shoe Company in Carlyle.  After marrying Willard, she became a devoted farm wife.  She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton, the Washington County Farm Bureau and enjoyed meeting her friends at Hardees for Saturday morning coffee.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29th at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton with Rev. Joshua Theilen officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.  Styninger Funeral Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements.
