William G. "Bill" Breuer, 90 of Hoyleton passed away at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Centralia Manor in Centralia. He was born on January 16, 1923 in Hoyleton, the son of Martin Fred and Minnie Louise Hanenberger Breuer. He married Gertrude Sensmeier on October 31, 1948 in Hoyleton and she passed away on March 21, 1987. Also preceding him in death were his parents, a sister Helen Huge and her husband Raymond Huge.
Left to mourn his passing is a nephew; Gerald Huge and his sons David and Daniel Huge of Hoyleton.
Mr. Breuer was a graduate of Centralia Township High School and was a Navy veteran of WWII. He was the owner and operator of the former Breuer's garage and service station in Hoyleton and was a retired rural mail carrier in Hoyleton. He was a lifetime member of the Trinity Lutheran church in Hoyleton, a 66 year member of the Hoyleton American Legion Post #887 and a member of the Centralia VFW Post #4053.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21st at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hoyleton with Rev. Joshua Theilen officiating. There will be no visitation and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Styninger Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements.
