William Alley Obituary

William Ben Alley, 52 of Nashville, formerly of Carbondale, passed away at 12:21 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Belleville Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 15, 1968 in Houston, TX, the son of Daniel W. and Lynne S. Elmdahl Alley. Left to mourn his passing is his father Daniel Alley of Slocum TX, his mother Lynne Elliott of Nashville, a sister; Erin (Steven) Tooley of Okawville. 2 half sisters; Amanda and April and a half brother Derek all of Texas. A niece Adrian Puryear of Aurora, CO and several other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother Jonathon Alley and a sister Michelle Puryear.

Bill attended John A Logan College in Carterville. He served in the Colorado National Guard from 1986 -1988 and then enlisted in the United States Army. He was baptized at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Marion and enjoyed writing. He was know for his intelligence and great sense of humor.

All services will be private. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements
