Willam Brammeier Obituary

 

William Brammeier, 86 of Oakdale, passed away at 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Friendship Manor Health Center in Nashville.  He was born on August 7, 1934 in Oakdale, the son of Theodore and Anita Boyer Brammeier.  He married Betty Lou Meyers and they later divorced, she survives his passing. Also surviving is a son, Charles Brammeier of Coulterville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding William in death along with his parents is his daughter Bettina Brammeier and sister Betty Faye Koebel.

He served in the United States Navy from 1952-1956 as a Hospital Corpsman, where he obtained the rank of Petty Officer 2nd class. He then obtained a Masters Degree in English where he went on to teach school.  He also farmed the family farm and worked as a truck driver. William was a member of the Washington County Farm Bureau, American Legion, lifelong member of the National Rifle Association, Washington County Sportsman’s Club and Perry County Friends of NRA.
