Timothy Lynn Murphy, Jr., 34 of Carlyle, passed away at 2:06 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon. He was born on November 10, 1986 in Farmington, Missouri, the son of Timothy Lynn and Robin Clark Murphy. He was preceded in death by his father on August 10, 2021 and his grandparents. Left to mourn his passing is his mother Robin (Joe) Garlich of Nashville. A brother Charles Murphy of Centralia, 3 sisters; Stephanie Wilson of Okawville, Mayleigh Hall of Nashville and Tanya Petrillo of Salem. 2 step brothers; Rey Garlich of Highland and Terry Garlich of Hardin. Step grandparents; Larry and Elaine Garlich of Nashville along with several aunts and uncles.
Tim was a graduate of Matoon High School and worked at the Washington County Vocational Workshop in Nashville. He loved watching John Wayne western movies and fast cars.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville. Cremation was performed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington County Vocational Workshop.
