Susan Carol Stofferahn 62 of Ashley formerly of New Minden, passed away at 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at DePaul Medical Center in St. Louis.  She was born on August 11, 1953 in Harvey, Illinois the daughter of Leonard and Esther Fitzlaff Stofferahn.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers; Sonny and Dwayne Stofferahn and 3 sisters; Carol Stofferahn, Ellen Morris and Barbara Luzar.  Left to mourn her passing is a daughter; Carol (Cliff) Patton of St. Libory.  3 grandchildren; Courtney, Corey and Chris Patton. Her boyfriend, Michael Adkins of Ashley. 2 brothers; Chris Stofferahn of Centralia and Curtis (Debbie) Stofferahn of Hoyleton.  2 sisters; Judith Lazar of Midlothian and Sharon Stofferahn of New Baden.

Susan was a graduate of Kaskasia College and enjoyed collecting dolls and spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17th at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Timothy Mueller officiating.  Friends may call from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church in New Minden.
