Sheila Marie Knuckles, 58 of Nashville formerly of Marissa, passed away at 7:55 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.  She was born on June 7, 1958 in East St. Louis, the daughter of Cletus J. And Lorraine Panek Files.  She married Harold Knuckles in 1972 in Perryville, MO and he survives in Nashville.  Also left to mourn her passing are 2 sons; Harold Knuckles, Jr. of Sparta and Timothy Knuckles of Nashville.  5 daughters; Tina Knuckles of Millstadt, Danielle Landi of Marissa, Shannon Knuckles of Tilden, Amber Knuckles Maurer and Ashley Knuckles both of Nashville.  2 sisters; Charlotte Files of Belleville and Nora Files of Freeburg, a step brother; Roger Smith of Salem and a step sister; Jean Pinkston of Hoyleton.  14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a son; Jonathon and a sister Claudine Tomlinson, a brother Gary Files, her step mother Shirley Files, a step brother William Smith and a step sister Myra Smith.

Mrs. Knuckles was a member of the Nashville Assembly of God Church (The Healing Place).  She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Nashville Assembly of God church with Rev.’s Scott and Syd Osenbaugh officiating.  Burial will follow in the Smithton cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested.  Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements
