Scott Alan Maschhoff, 47 of Hoffman, passed away suddenly at 1:27 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024 at his residence. He was born on July 30, 1976 in Nashville the son of Wayne and Jacqueline Blumhorst Maschhoff. He married Rachele “Shelly” Roznowski on October 16, 2004 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in DuBois and she survives. Also left to mourn his passing is his mother Jacqueline Maschhoff of Hoyleton, 4 brothers; Christopher (Sarah), Bradley (Tesha), Brent (Rebecca) and Patrick (Jennifer) Maschhoff all of Nashville. A sister Andrea (Keith) Rulevish of DuBois. Brother in law Michael Roznowski of DuBois, Two sister in laws; Laura (Pat) Bielong of Nashville and Lisa (Mark) Olsen of Frankfort, IL. Nieces and nephews: Samuel, Matthew, Lucas and Patrick (Lexie) Bielong, Ryan (Jessica) Spenner, Olivia (Michael) Haselhorst, Alex Spenner, Jacob, Abby, Grace, Allison, Chloe and Ella Maschhoff all of Nashville, Brantley and Braxton Rulevish of DuBois, Savannah Olsen of Hillsboro, OR and Shayna Olsen of Tigard, OR. Great nieces and nephews; Daxton, Decker and Deacon Bielong, Nolan and Ada Spenner and Kacen Kurtz. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his sweet dog Roxy.
He was preceded in death by his father Wayne, sister Jennifer, In laws; Clarence and Marcella Roznowski and uncle Roger Maschhoff.
Scott was a graduate of Nashville Community High School and was a driver for XPO Trucking in Salem and previously worked at NOTS, Beelman Trucking and Donnewald Distributing. He was a lifetime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton and previously served on the Hoyleton Volunteer Fire Department. Scott was very well rounded as he loved to deer hunt, bake, cook, smoking meat, barbecue, make deer sausage and help people farm. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR but mostly he loved spending time with his family and friends especially his nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton with Rev. Nathan Wollenberg officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the service both at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, American Cancer Society or Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton. Styninger Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements.
