Ruby A. Hoelscher, 88 of Nashville, passed away at 6:52 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Washington County Hospital in Nashville. She was born on December 12, 1924 in New Minden, the daughter of Walter and Anna Pohlman Oexeman. She married Virgil E. Hoelscher on April 25, 1944 in Mobile, Alabama and he survives in Nashville. Also left to mourn her passing is a son; Mark (Leslie) Hoelscher of Kansas City, MO, a daughter; Sharon (Gene) Frederking of Addieville. 5 grandchildren; Mike (Jill) Frederking, Nathan (Robin) Frederking, ,Christine (Kevin) Haynes, Haley (Aaron) Rubenking and Aaron Hoelscher. 6 great grandchildren; Haylee Althoff, Marlee Frederking, Alyssa and Malia Frederking and Claire and Carson Haynes. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers; Warren and Amos Oexeman.
Mrs. Hoelscher was a homemaker and had worked as a sales clerk at several Nashville clothiers. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville where she taught Sunday School and was active in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary, Washington County Hospital Auxillary and the Nashville Ladies Golf League. She enjoyed visiting with and bringing cheer to her friends when they were sick or hospitalized and faith and family were very important to Ruby.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville with Rev's. Russell Johnson and Mathew Wietfeldt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and again from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville and one hour prior to services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
