Rose Maschhoff Jones, 99 of Nashville formerly of St. Louis, passed away at 3:43 P.M. on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Washington County Hospital in Nashville.  She was born on June 24, 1915 in Hoyleton, the daughter of August and Anna Ellerbusch Maschhoff.  She married Jonas R. Jones on January 8, 1977 and he passed away on March 1, 1987.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, 4 brothers; Robert, Clarence, Otto and Reinhold Maschhoff and 2 sisters; Frances and Ruth Maschhoff.  Left to mourn her passing is a nephew; Gary (Barb) Maschhoff of Hoyleton, 3 nieces; Patricia (Henry) Habbe of Nashville, Charlene (Steve) Elliott of Okawville and Alice Harlow of Centralia.  Step children; Aloma Wieber, Carthal Jones and Sandra Peterson all of Minnesota.  And a sister in law; Alvera Maschhoff of Nashville.

Rose was a graduate of the Brown Business College in St. Louis.  She retired as a secretary in the sales department at Sporlan Valve Company in St. Louis.  She was an active volunteer at her church in St. Louis.  She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah, active in the VFW Auxillary and a member of the Women’s club of  Parc Lorraine in St. Louis.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30th at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Timothy Mueller officiating.  Burial will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.  Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church Restoration Fund
