Robert A. Koch 86 of Nashville, passed away at 8:00p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Friendship Manor Health Center in Nashville. He was born on October 4, 1928 in Johannisburg the son of George and Hulda Oelze Koch. He married Grace F. Hemminghaus on September 16, 1956 and she survives in Nashville. Also surviving is a daughter; Patricia A. (Steve) Lintker of Venedy and a grand daughter; Christine (Beau) Barkau of Oakdale.
He was preceded in death by 4 sisters; Dorothy Ostendorf, Ruth Krewinghaus, Lorraine Koch and Alvera Koch. 3 brother in laws; George Ostendorf, Earl Krewinghaus and Roy Barkau. A sister in law; Janette Barkau.
Mr. Koch was a World War II veteran of the United States Army and retired as a mechanic from Kirchhoffer Motor Company in Nashville. After retiring, he worked as a greeter at Krupp Funeral Home in Nashville and helped his son in law farm. He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville, Nashville American Legion Post #110 and Washington County Farm Bureau.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23rd at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Pastor Bev Kahle officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul United Church of Christ Cemetery in Nashville with military rites accorded by the Nashville American Legion Post #110. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul United Church of Christ or Heartland Hospice.
