Robert W. Jannett, Jr. 59 of Hoyleton, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at his residence. He was born on February 24, 1955 in St. Louis, the son of Robert W. and Katherine Hubner Jannett, Sr. He first married Carole Jean Maschhoff on November 27, 1980 in Hoyleton and she passed away on February 9, 2005. He then married Deona Whipple on September 2, 2010 in Henderson, KY. And she survives. Also surviving is a son; John Jannett and girl friend Andrea Kellerman of Okawville. A daughter; Paula (Derek) Warden of Hoyleton and a step son; Phillip (Tiffany) Adkins of Hoyleton. 6 grandchildren; Jayden and Elizabeth Jannett, Elliot and Brady Warden and Hayden and Briella Adkins. 2 sisters; Debbie (Earl) Garren of Rolla, MO. And Lynette Lee of Irvington. Besides his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and and a sister; Paulette in child hood.
Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in Vietnam. He was the former owner/operator of Bob Jannett Trucking in Hoyleton. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton, the Hoyleton Lions Club and was a lifetime member of the Carlyle VFW Post #3523. He loved the Chicago Cubs, his family and pets.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31st. in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton with Rev. Joshua Theilen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites accorded by the Carlyle VFW Post. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Styninger Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton and one hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested.
