Robert A Bailey

Robert Bailey, 73 of Irvington, passed away at 12:57 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon with his family at his side.  He was born on August 12, 1949 in Chicago, the son of Cecil and Alberta Przybysz Bailey.  He married Pamela C. Harding on February 2, 1985 in Mt. Prospect.  Besides his wife of 37 years, also left to mourn his passing is a son Robert Bailey, Jr. of League City, TX.  2 daughters; Frances (Ben) Kasten of Hoyleton and Elizabeth Bailey of League City, TX.  A brother William Bailey of Richmond, VA.  4 grandchildren; Ellie, Evie, Wynnie and Emmie Kasten.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother James Bailey. 

Bob served with the United States Army in Vietnam. He was a carpenter and member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton.  He loved to hunt, fish and watch sports. 

 A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton with Rev. Nathan Wollenberg officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Hoyleton. Styninger Funeral & Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements.
