Richard F Karmeier

Richard F. “Rich” Karmeier, 78 of New Minden, passed away at 7:25 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at his residence with his family by his side.  He was born on August 29, 1945 in Centralia, the son of Arthur and Lorene Brueggemann Karmeier.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ralph Karmeier and a nephew Nicholas Karmeier.  Left to mourn his passing are 2 sons; Steven (Rhonda) Karmeier of New Minden and Ryan (Amy) Karmeier of Nashville.  A step daughter Jamie Thompson of Johnston, Iowa.  A sister Geraldine (Michael) Krigelski of Lake Wales, FL.  6 grandchildren; Kathryn and Joseph Karmeier, Alexis, Alyssa, Kyan and Kilah Thompson.  3 great grandchildren and a sister in law Julia Karmeier of New Minden.

Rich was the owner and operator of Dicor Corporation in St. Louis and served in the United States Air Force Reserves.  He was a member of the Nashville American Legion Post #110 and enjoyed farming and gardening.

A Memorial Gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at  Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
