Richard Arthur Faulkner, 90 of Owensville, Missouri, passed away at 10:50 a.m. on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at his daughter’s home in Nashville with his loving family by his side. He was born on October 6, 1930 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Harvey and Adele Sommers Faulkner. He married Betty Melson on January 6, 1951 in Piggott, AR and she passed away on August 10, 2016. Also preceding him in death were his parents, a son James Faulkner, a daughter Dana Crowell, a grandson Gregory Burger, a great grandson Garrett Dennis and 2 sisters; Jane Carroll and Laverne Lowely. Left to mourn his passing is a son Richard (Theresa) Faulkner of Warrenton, MO. A daughter Jacquelyn (Skip) Underwood of Nashville. 12 grandchildren; Daryl Underwood, Sarah Hollowell, Rachel Kraus, Michael and Keith Ubinger, Ray Kitchen, Renee Benson, Robin Abbott, Courtney Cox, Caitlin Dennis, Richard Faulkner and Stefani Icardi. Several great and great great grandchildren.
Richard retired as a shipping and receiving supervisor at Killark Electric in St. Louis. He was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Owensville. He loved to fish, boat, camp, watch hockey and participate in anything outdoors.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville with Rev. James Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
