Reba Louise Deeke

Rebbel “Reba” Louise Deeke, 96 of Nashville, formerly of Coulterville, passed away at 6:47 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Washington County Hospital in Nashville.  She was born on December 8, 1924 in Dover, TN, the daughter of Jesse and Josie Settle Milton.  She married Russell Paul Deeke on December 8, 1961 and he passed away in 1990.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter Starr and son in law James Gardner, granddaughter Dara Sheppard, great grandson Levi Gardner, infant grandsons; Travis and Trevor, 3 brothers; Ralph, E. Larry and Jesse Milton, Jr.  2 sisters; Gertha Melville and Shirley Milton in infancy.  Left to mourn her passing are 2 sons; Dennis Allen of Willisville and Roger (Gail) Allen of Coulterville.  2 daughters; Mary L. (Tom) Gregory of Marissa and Toni Grant of West Lafayette, IN. 9 grandchildren; Frankie (Tony) Warren of Hoyleton, Lisa (Larry) Anthrop of West Lafayette, IN, Jim (Lacey) Gardner of Sparta, Terry Gardner and Chuck (Kip) Gardner both of Coulterville, Rusty and Raymond Allen both of Willisville, Christy Allen of Chester and Mindy James of Waterloo.  11 great grandchildren; Joey Warren, Chelsey, Jimmy and Jessica Gardner, Ashley, Robbie and Shaun Cooper, Sidney, Caitlyn and Hannah Allen and Phoenix Leftwich.  A great great grandson Theodore Cooper.

Reba was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading, oil painting, ceramics, crocheting and most of all spending time with her family.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Mascoutah City Cemetery in Mascoutah with Rev. Mike Henderson officiating.  There will be no public visitation.  Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Research. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
