Raymond Schanuel

Raymond Schanuel, 78 of DuBois, passed away at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Friendship Manor Health Center in Nashville.  He was born on February 21, 1941 in Caseyville, the son of Albert Charles and Dorothy Mabel Harawood Schanuel.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers; Richard, Charles, Ted and Terry and 2 sisters in infancy.  Left to mourn his passing are 5 brothers; Kenneth Schanuel of Dupo, Norman Schanuel of St. Jacob, David Schanuel of Collinsville, Billy Schanuel of Auburn, KY and Douglas Schanuel of St. Jacob formerly of DuBois.  2 sisters; Greta Smith of Dumfries, VA and Barbara Diane Cannon of Greenville.  2 half sisters; Virginia Jenkins of Granite City and Leatrice of California.  Several nieces and nephews.

Raymond was a fertilizer applicator for Con Agra and was a farm hand around DuBois.  He loved to play cards with his family.

Cremation was accorded.  A memorial service will be held at a later date. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
