Ray Lee Wulf, 86 of Nashville, passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Washington County Hospital in Nashville. He was born on May 30, 1939 in Washington County, the son of Clarence and Louse Voss Wulf. He married Janet Faye Boreup on August 26, 1961 in Nashville and she passed away on June 30, 2024. Also preceding him in death were his parents.
Left to mourn his passing is his son Michael (Sylvia) Wulf of Nashville. Daughter Kristen Hoffman of Pinckneyville. 4 grandchildren; Chelsea Wulf, Miranda (Brian) Tate, Kortney and Keaten Schuette. 2 great grandchildren; Bentley and Theodore Tate.
Ray graduated from Okawville High School and served in the United States Army. He began farming north of Nashville and then joined Washington County FS where he worked for 45 years, first as a nurse truck driver, then driving an LP truck and finally a petroleum truck. He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville. He and his wife loved going to auctions and collecting antiques.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville with Rev. Beverly Kahle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul UCC Cemetery fund or Family Hospice of Southern Illinois. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements
