Nola L. Kraft went to be with Jesus at 3:59 pm on August 4, 2025 at Friendship Manor Healthcare in Nashville. She attained the age of 93 years and 5 months. She was born March 4 1932 in Hoyleton IL, the daughter of Henry and Carrie Schuette. Baptized by Pastor Koestering of St. John Lutheran Church New MInden and confirmed in the faith at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville, IL. At a very young age she cleaned houses and did laundry for many people. She then worked at Hollywood Candy Factory in Ashley and Centralia eventually retiring from Miss Elaine’s in Centralia. In retirement she loved to take care of senior citizens, often cleaning, visiting and keeping them entertained. In 2004, she moved to New Minden to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She had a reaffirmation of faith and joined St. Johns Lutheran Church in New Minden where she was very active in the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed visiting with the ladies of the church, quilting and was active in serving at funeral dinners. She enjoyed going to Friendship Manor Healthcare and Washington County Hospital to visit, taking church bulletins and printed sermons. Spending time with and watching her family grow was one of her biggest joys. She enjoyed babysitting and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eventually she moved into Friendship Manor Healthcare and enjoyed making new friends and participating in the many activities available. Left to mourn her passing are three children, Sharon (Bill) Patton of Oakdale, Betty (Larry) Sachtleben of New Minden and Mike (Carol) Kraft of Nashville. Grandmother to 6 grandchildren, Wendy (Jeff) Bergmann, Brian (Dana) Patton, Angela (Josh) Maschhoff, Amy (Ryan) Blumhorst, Mark (Cassie) Sachtleben and Lacey (Alex) Wiegmann. She a very proud Great Grandmother of Johnna (Bryce) Paszkiewicz, Riley, Joel and Tessa Bergmann, Alexis (fiance Lucas Wobbe), Jacob and Avery Patton, John and Sam Blumhorst, Nora and Warren Sachtleben, Kyler, Brayson, Zander and Huxton Maschhoff and Aubrey, Reed and Hunter Wiegmann along with many friends and extended family,
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Emma Schuette, her siblings Hubert (Vera) Schuette, Roland (Doris) Schuette, Henry (Wilma) Schuette,Clara (Ray Hohman) (Bert) Highland, Alvera (Willie) Rodak, Arvie (Marga) Schuette,and Homer Schuette, son-in-law Bill Patton and Great Grandson Benjamin Wiegmann.
Funeral arrangements are through Styninger Funeral Home. Services will be August 12, 2025 at St. Johns Lutheran Church New Minden, IL at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to the beginning of the service with Pastor Tim Mueller officiating
