Nancy E (Hongsermeier) Fechtler

Nancy E. Fechtler, 72 of Irvington, passed away at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Nature Trail Health Center in Mt. Vernon.  She was born on August 31, 1951 in Centralia, the daughter of Harry and Bernice Westermeyer Hongsermeier.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Gary Hongsermeier.  Left to mourn her passing is her son Adam Fechtler of Irvington, 2 sisters; Patty (Terry) Mount of Kell and Judy Hongsermeier of Hoyleton.  A nephew Jeremy Mount of Kell and a niece Becky (Tim) Arndt of Front Royal, VA along with special friends; Joann Combs, Malachi McCabe, Shannon Combs and DeShawn Combs all of Mt. Vernon.

Nancy worked at Little Fuse in Centralia and after it closed at Little Nashville in Nashville.  She was a long time member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton where she previously served on the church council.  She was a former member of the Irvington Ruritan club and loved to cook and bake.

Funeral services will be held at 11:000 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton with the Rev. Sharon Patton officiating.  A private burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 until service time on Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion UCC in Hoyleton. Styninger Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements
