Mildred Krueger, 88 of Palatine, passed away early Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Lutheran Home in Palatine.
Mildred was born on June 27, 1934, to Anton and Esther Petzoldt. Mildred married George Krueger on June 18, 1955, in Frohna, Missouri. She enjoyed spending time with family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life. Special to Mildred was helping children and assisting with pre-school and Kindergarten for over 30 years. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan.
Mildred was the beloved wife of the late George Krueger; loving mother of: Jim (the late Anne) Krueger, Beth (Michael) Conklin; dear grandmother of: Matthew (Jessica) Krueger, Patti (Tony) Kangethe, Christopher (Sharon) Conklin, Tim Conklin and Katie Conklin; fond great-grandmother of: Izzy Krueger, Isaiah Kangethe, Katherine Conklin, Ezra Kangethe, and Finn Krueger. She is also survived by her siblings, Doris Gates, Arlene James, and Darlene Bachmann; brother-in-law, Roy Krueger, sisters in law, Dorothy Lange, Aggie Boehning, Eunice Witte, and Rose Moeller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Krueger, and siblings, Nelda Boren, Milda Lorenz, Norma McLain, Lillian Vogel, Gilbert Petzoldt, Vera Vogel, Ruby Popp and Marvin Petzoldt.
Cremation was performed and a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hoyleton with Rev. Nathan Wollenberg officiating.
