Melba Louise Thompson, 93 of Nashville, passed away at 1:13 a.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Fireside House in Centralia with her family at her side. She was born on November 18, 1930 in Nashville, the daughter of Melvin A. and Louise Rinne Smith. She married Richard L. Thompson on February 9, 1952 in Blytheville, Arkansas and he passed away on September 20, 2008. Also preceding her in death were her parents. Left to mourn her passing is a son Mark (Bobbie) Thompson of Centralia, a daughter Barbara (Robert) Pozniak of Columbia. 5 grandchildren; Kevin (Maria) Thompson, Kristen Thompson, Kaitlyn (Brad) LeMasters, Erin (Michael) Daniels and Adam Pozniak. 2 great grandchildren Lucia and Aubri Thompson.
Mrs. Thompson was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville where she was active in the Willing Helpers Ladies Aid. She was also a life member of the Nashville Trails Crossing Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024 atStyninger Funeral Home in Nashville. Burial will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Nashville. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Foundation.
