Maye Schanuel

Maye Schanuel, 80 of St. Jacob, passed away at 12:12 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at her residence with her family by her side.  She was born on June 20, 1941 in Dove Creek, Colorado, the daughter of Kenneth Roy and Emma Hazel Wood Tripp.  She married Norman T. Schanuel on May 17, 1958 in East St. Louis and he survives her passing.  Besides her husband of 63 years, left to mourn her passing are 2 sons; Keith D. Schanuel and Brian T. (Muriel) Schanuel both of St. Jacob.  A daughter Pamela Schlotter of St. Jacob.  2 brothers Lindell Tripp and George Tripp and a sister Shirley LeVeque.  3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 3 foster great grandchildren and 6 foster great great grandchildren and a brother in law Douglas Schanuel.  She was preceded in death by her parents a brother Kenneth Tripp and her twin sister Faye Krause.

Maye was retired from the Social Security Administration where she worked as a claims represenative.

All services will be private.  Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
