Mary Ann Hanenberger 75 of Hoffman, passed away at 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Carlyle Health Care Center.  She was born December 24, 1939 in Hoffman, the daughter of Oscar and Amelia Kleiboeker Boehne.  She married Oliver “Ollie” Hanenberger on February 11, 1961 in Hoffman. He passed away on August 9, 2000. Also preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers Theodore, Edwin, Charles, and Walter Boehne.  Two sisters Amanda Kottmeyer and Hilda Nottmeyer.

Left to mourn her passing; is a son Mike and wife Tina Hanenberger of Hoyleton. Three daughters Diane and husband Greg Felton of Centralia, Judy and husband Eric Lang of Cedarburg Wisconsin and Kimberly Hanenberger of Hoffman.  10 grandchildren; Julie and husband Aaron Lorence, Chrissy and husband Zach Lamcyzk, Adam Felton and special friend Amber Heard, Brett Hanenberger and fiancé Emily Droste, Kyle Hanenberger and special friend Abby Siddell, Megan Hanenberger, Nicole and Joshua Lang, Kayla and Lily Hanenberger. Four great-grandchildren; Connor and Carter Lorence, Sophia and Gavin Lamcyzk. A brother Paul Boehne of Hoyleton.  A sister; Bernice Terry of Sandoval.   A brother in law; Carl Hanenberger of Kansas City Missouri. Five sister-in-law’s; Elizabeth and Erna Boehne both of Hoffman, Edie Boehne of Salem, Shirley Hanenberger of Hoyleton and Louise Brammeier and husband Carl of Carlyle.

Mary was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton. She was the former owner of Sunny Slope greenhouse in Irvington and the co-owner of Hoffman Seed House where she retired in 1994 after selling the business to her son. She enjoyed being outside, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton with Rev.Joshua Theilen officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Sunday and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran school in Hoffman, Christ Our Rock Lutheran high school or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Styninger Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements.
