Mark A Young

Mark A. Young, 62 of Nashville, passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Aperion Care Center in Mascoutah.  He was born on June 5, 1959 in Granite City, the son of David and Margaret Edna Madden Young.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece Amy Tomlinson.  Left to mourn his passing is his brother David Young of Springfield.  2 sisters; Marsha (Harry) Dietz of Nashville with which he made his home and Kim Simmons-Dusky of Mascoutah.  3 nieces; Shannon Turner, Stephanie Rulo and Michelle Young.

Mark was a graduate of Pacific High School in Pacific, Missouri.  He worked as a dishwasher for 22 years at the Diamond Restaurant in Pacific and most recently at the Washington County Vocational Workshop in Nashville.  He enjoyed playing Bingo and participating in the activities at the workshop.

All services will be private.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington County Vocational Workshop. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
