Margaret (Meinert) Kottmeyer

Margaret I. Kottmeyer, 77 formerly of Nashville, passed away at 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Greenfields in Geneva, Illinois. She was born on April 24, 1946 in Centralia the daughter of Edward and Shirley Berry Meinert.  She married Wayne Kottmeyer on August 28, 1965 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville and he passed away on May 15, 2019.  Also preceding her in death were her parents.

Left to mourn her passing are 2 sons; Edward (Vy) Kottmeyer of Aurora and their daughter Olivia, Nicholas (Brandie) Kottmeyer of North Aurora and their sons; Mason, Logan and Jackson.  2 sisters; Marilyn Clark of Germantown, TN and Jana Meinert of Las Vegas, NV.   2 sister in laws; Elaine (Douglas) Hassell and Shirley (Dale) Campbell both of Hoyleton.

Mrs. Kottemeyer was a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and previously worked as the office manager at Oral Surgery Associates.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren which she adored.  Margaret’s husband Wayne was a nursing home administrator which lead them to live in Harrisburg, IL. Watertown, WI, Tinley Park, IL and finally to Oconomowoc, WI.

A private funeral service will be held at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Nathan Wollenberg officiating.  Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Nashville.  Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice
