Lynne Stuart (Elmdahl) Elliott

Lynne Stuart Elliott, 79 of Nashville, passed away at 11:52 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville with her family at her side.  She was born on December 30, 1944 in Lincoln, NE, the daughter of Ben and Marystuart Lovelace Elmdahl.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons; Jonathon and William Alley and a daughter Michelle Puryear.  Left to mourn her passing is her daughter Erin (Steven) Tooley of Okawville, a brother John Elmdahl and a sister Eva Olivia Becton both of Clovis, TX.  3 grandchildren; Adrian Puryear, Eva and Daniel Tooley and a great grandson Cairo Elkhalib.

Lynne obtained her Bachelors Degree at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and worked at SIUC in administration prior to her retiring.  She was a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville.  She was volunteer at CASA, loved genealogy, dogs, watching football, the Houston Astros and was an avid reader.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. David Benning officiating.  Friends may call from 4:30 p.m. until service time.  Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Social Services of Illinois or the Washington County Senior Services
