Lorna J (Junge) Graf

Lorna J. Graf, 90, of Nashville, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, July 29, 2024.  She departed this life at Washington County Hospital surrounded by her family.

Lorna was born on September 13, 1933 in Okawville, Illinois, the daughter of Edwin and Edna (Luebke) Junge.  She was united in marriage to George Graf on June 7, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on May 13, 1994.

She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.  She loved following all Nashville sports, the St. Louis Cardinals, and playing games.  Her faith was important to her, and she was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville.

Left to mourn her passing are her three daughters, Cindy Carviou and husband Howard of Clemmons, North Carolina, Lori Grawe of Nashville, and Beth Welte and husband Paul also of Nashville; seven grandchildren Christina (Chris) Brumback, Melanie Carviou, Clayton (Bethany) Carviou, Jessica (Dan) Bowers, Scott Grawe, Luke Welte, and Lexi Welte; three great grandchildren Emma, Ari, Anson and one on the way; other relatives and friends.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and three sisters.

 Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville, Illinois on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 11:00 am with Pastor David Benning officiating.  Interment will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Nashville. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the service hour.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Trinity-St. John Lutheran School and will be accepted by Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville who is in charge of arrangements.
