Linda Schaeffer Obituary

Linda Lou Schaeffer, 87 of Nashville, passed away at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born on August 17, 1938 in Richview the daughter of Lester and Lois Ackerson Emrick.  She married Harry Charles Schaeffer on June 16, 1956 in Hoyleton and he passed away on October 20, 2015.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter Tammy  and son -in- law Jorgen Argyle, a brother Leslie Emrick and a sister Karen Cramblett.  Left to mourn her passing are 3 sons; Mike (Maryanne) Schaeffer of Nashville, Doug (Gloria) and Tim (Mel) Schaeffer both of Oakdale.  A daughter Jamie (Scott) Juenger of Oakdale. 12 grandchildren; Travis (Tayler) Schaeffer, Olivia (Fiancee Richard) Hente, Spencer  (Mollie) Hente, Elizabeth (Joel) Stein, Carly (fiancée Parker) Argyle, Pavin Argyle, Billy (Amanda) Clark, Tasha (Nathan) Miller, Wyatt (Special Friend Cassidy) Schaeffer, Doc (Janie) Schaeffer, Jared and Schae Juenger.11 great grandchildren; Jaxon and Walker Schaeffer, Autumn Hente, Titan and Dove Clark, Hayden, Hayzlee and Hampton Miller, Harlan, Sullivan and Sadie Schaeffer.  2 sisters; Shirley Selby of Centralia and Janice St. Louis of Ashley.  A brother in law Don (Pat) Schaeffer of De Soto, MO, along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Linda was a 1955 graduate of Centralia High School, a dedicated farm wife and avid gardener.  She was also a dedicated and talented organist at Grace United Methodist Church for over 50 years.  She provided beautiful music for Sunday Services and numerous community events, weddings and funerals. She was also active in the Little Egypt Pork Producers in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.  Linda loved spending time with her family and of late, she truly enjoyed her “sisters days”.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Grace United Methodist Church in Nashville with Rev. Leanne Noland officiating.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until service time.  Cremation will follow the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements
