Larry W. Woodside, 68 of Beacoup passed away at 7:27 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014 on Liberty Church road near Ashley at the scene of an automobile accident.  He was born on February 20, 1946 in Oneida, Illinois, the son of Norman and Imogene Ross Woodside.  He married Connie Malick on June 29, 2004 in Pinckneyville and she survives in Beacoup.  Also left to mourn his passing are 4 sons; Larry Woodside of Rockford, Timothy Woodside of Sparta, Thomas Woodside of Perryville, MO and Terry Woodside of Houston, TX.  2 daughters; Layni Woodside of Rockford and Michelle Woodside of Pinckneyville.  2 brothers; Robert Woodside of Galesburg and Dale Woodside of Lincoln.  2 sisters; Jean Riley of Lincoln and Kate McDermott of Oklahoma.  Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

Larry served during Vietnam in the United States Navy.  He was a retired factory worker and a member of the New Heart Fellowship Church in Beacoup.  He was a director of the Waterloo exotic animal swap and loved the St. Louis Cardinals.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22nd at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Mickey Kleiboeker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Beacoup cemetery with military rites by the Nashville American Legion Post #110.  Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #110 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
