Kathleen A. Kroeger 69 of Hoyleton, passed away at 11:15 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Carlyle Health Center in Carlyle. She was born on April 18, 1946 in Hoffman, the daughter of Alfred W. and Connie M. Riechman Knolhoff. She married James Kroeger on June 12, 1965 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman and he survives in Hoyleton. Also left to mourn her passing are 2 sons; Bob (Joni) Kroeger of Hoffman and John (Stephany) Kroeger of Hoyleton. 4 grandchidren; Mitchell, Madylin, Jack and Evan Kroeger. 2 sisters; Karen Rixmann of Hoyleton and Pat (Leonard) Kleiboeker of Shattuc. 2 sister in laws; Lois (Elbert) Brink of Shattuc and Ruth (Willard) Arbeiter of Gorham. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother in law; Jerald Rixmann.
Kathleen was a graduate of Kaskaskia Community College and the Rend Lake College of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia and several area nursing homes. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton and loved to travel, garden and spend time with her family and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton with Rev. Joshua Theilen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton or Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School. Styninger Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements.
