Karl Dean Brehm, 60 of Ashley formerly of Radom passed away at 12:55 a.m. on Tuesday, November 04, 2014 at his residence. He was born on July 2, 1954 in Centralia, the son of Kenneth and Shirley Smith Brehm. He married Christine E. Smith on January 8, 1994 in Nashville and she passed away on October 26, 2013. Also preceding him in death was a brother; Michael Brehm. Left to mourn his passing are his parents Kenneth and Shirley Brehm of Ashley, a step son; Brian Varnum of Ziegler. A brother; Kenneth R. (Annette) Brehm of Kell. 3 sisters; Barbara (Richard) Ayers of Sandoval, SueAnn (Mike) Nicholson of Ashley and Linda (Glenn) Morgan of Nason along with several nieces and nephews.
Karl was a graduate of Nashville Community High School and served in Vietnam with the United States Marine Corp. He was a truck driver for Creek Trucking. He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville, the Nashville American Legion Post #110, Waltonville VFW Post #9153, Nashville Moose Lodge #2560 and Ziegler Eagles Lodge #2444. Karl enjoyed fishing, riding four wheelers and being in the country.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville with Rev. Bev Kahle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Nashville American Legion Post #110. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
