Junior Floyd Shoemaker, 87 of Huegely, passed away at 11:55 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at his residence. He was born on February 18, 1937 in Kennett, MO, the son of Joseph and Evelyn Baugher Shoemaker. He married Dolly Mabelle Martin on June 23, 1956 and she passed away on March 4, 1999. Also preceding him in death were his parents, son Eric Shoemaker, daughter Sherry Powell, 3 brothers; Jim, Ronnie and Kenny. 5 sisters; Eilma, Edna, Judy, Debbie and Teresa. Left to mourn his passing is his son Junior (Wendy) Shoemaker of Columbia, MO, daughter Cathy Baugh of Huegely. A son in law Tommy Powell of Nashville. Brother Danny Shoemaker of Illinois. 3 sisters; Glendola McAfee of Missouri, Nettie Goodin of Mississippi and Marsha Bourland of Missouri. Numerous grand and great grandchildren.
Junior owned and operated a saw mill in Huegley and in later years was a truck driver. He enjoyed his family, being outside and spending time with his friends.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20th at Zion UCC Cemetery in Hoyleton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Disabled American Veterans.
