Joyce Ann Boester

Joyce Ann Boester, 72 of Hoyleton, passed away at 11:52 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon.  She was born on August 9, 1951 in Centralia, the daughter of Gilbert J. and Dorathy A. Ellerbock Boester.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Nolan Boester.  Left to mourn her passing are 2 brothers; Dean (Patty) Boester and Kelvin (Teresa) Boester both of Hoyleton.  A sister Grace (Hank) Ezel of Hoyleton and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce received her Bachelors Degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.  She worked in administration at the corporate office of Case New Holland in Racine, WI, retiring in 2017.  She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in New Minden and loved reading books.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in New Minden with Rev. Nathan Wollenberg officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements
