Joe E Crask

Joe E. Crask, 80 of Nashville, passed away at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville with his family by his side.  He was born on December 3, 1942 in Keenes, the son of Charlie and Anna Jean Wakefield Crask.  He married Judy Houck on April 26, 1986 in Nashville and she later passed away.  He then married Sandra Daniells on January 2, 2010 in Norman, OK and she survives in Nashville.  Also surviving are 2 sons; Mark (Julie) Crask of Belleville and Kevin (Kari) Crask of Highaland.  2 step sons; Lee and Kenny Daniells both of Oklahoma and a daughter Vickie Englebright. 2 brothers; Stanley Crask of Springfield and Dennis (Debbie) Crask of Maryville, TN.  2 sisters; Linda Laptin of Bluford and Nancy (Ken) Vandetol of Keenes.  14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Karen Crask Haussey and a brother James Crask. 

Joe retired as a machinist with the Illinois Central Railroad and operated a small engine repair shop in Nashville for 17 years.  He was a member of the Mt. Vernon Church of Christ.  He enjoyed wood working, gardening, singing and especially visiting with people. 

A private funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Justin Odom officiating.  Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery in Nashville. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
