Jimmie Marcene Buttrey 94 of Nashville, formerly of Chesterfield, MO passed away at 8:40 a.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Washington County Hospital in Nashville. She was born on June 29, 1921 in Hayti, MO, the daughter of James H. and Clara P. Reneau Walker. She married John W. Buttrey, Jr. on June 26, 1944 and he passed away on March 21, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a son in law; Fred Chwarzinski. Left to mourn her passing are 2 daughters; Pamela Chwarzinski of Nashville and Patricia (James) Clifton of Perryville, MO 2 sons; John (Janice) Buttrey of Tuscon, AZ and Stephen (Carol) Buttrey of Green Valle, AZ. 7 grandchildren; Amy (Oscar) Gonzalez, Julie (Scott) Rybolt, John Copithorne, Ryan Chwarzinski, Ann (James) Pettypool, Beth Filla and Lynn (Jeb) Rice. 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Buttrey was a nurse and a member of Green Trails United Methodist church in Chesterfield where she was active in the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of PEO.
There will be a memorial service held at a later date at Green Trails United Methodist church in Chesterfield, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or a charity of the donor’s choice. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
