Jeremy Paul Smith

Jeremy Paul Smith, 34 of DuBois, passed away at 8:48 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on December 7, 1988 in Nashville, the son of Timothy Paul Smith and Susan Hutchings.  Left to mourn his passing is  his father Timothy Smith of DuBois, his mother Susan Boyle of Cooksville, grandfather; Orval Hutchings of Pinckneyville, brother; Justin (Nikita) Hutchings of Pawnee, sister; Jessica Smith of Nashville, 2 nephews; Jaden Weston and Gavin Hutchings, niece; Josie Weston and his beloved dog Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; John and Helen Smith and Frances Hutchings along with his uncle Steve Smith.

Jeremy was a graduate of Nashville Community High School and formerly worked as a shop hand for Southern Illinois Piping in Carbondale.  He loved hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, gardening and riding his motorcycle.

A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
