Janet R (Spenner) Klie

Janet R. Klie, 84 of Hoyleton, passed away at 7:50 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville.  She was born on April 15, 1941 in Hoyleton, the daughter of Gus and Regina Kleiboeker Spenner.  She married Eugene L. Klie on August 8, 1959 in Hoyleton.  She is survived by her husband of 66 years as well as a son Greg (Donna) Klie of Richview and daughter Darlene (Joe) Witthaus of Centralia.  4 grandchildren; Joe (Katie) Witthaus, Jodi (Charles) Davis, Allison (Justin) Davis and Alex Klie.  4 great grandchildren; Emmett Witthaus, Wyatt Davis, Arlo Davis and Royce Davis. 2 sisters; Beulah Holle of Hoyleton and Judi Larwson of Fitzgerald, GA 

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers; Bob, Vernon, Ralph and Roy Spenner.  5 sisters; Maxine Spenner, Irene Fusselman, Dorothy Huge, Gertrude Holle and Loretta Eickmeyer. 

Janet retired from Little Fuse in Centralia.  She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton where she was in charge of organizing the funeral dinners.  She was head of the Irvington Food Pantry and a Master Gardener.  Previously she designed and decorated many wedding cakes in the area. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton with Rev. Sharon Patton officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may call from 9:30 until 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Irvington Food pantry. Styninger Funeral & Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements
