Janet Huck

I.Janet Huck, 89, of Hoyleton passed away at 5:12 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Centralia Manor.  She was born on September 29, 1934 in Hoyleton, the daughter of Frank E. and Anna S. (Krietemeyer) Huck.  She married William Kenneth “Bill” Fred on December 11, 2000 in Nashville, Illinois and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2011.  Also preceding her in death were her parents and a sister and brother-in-law; Imogene (Huck) and Paul Silger.

Janet is survived by two nephews: Rod Silger and wife, Phyllis of Hoyleton and Michael Silger and wife, Sandy of Wentzville, MO; great nephews and nieces, Seth Silger and wife, Shana; Rachel Schmidt and husband, Dan; Michael Silger, Jr. and friend, Samantha; and Caitlin Stone and husband, Max; two great-great nieces; Hanna Schmidt and Sophia Silger and one great-great nephew Spencer Silger; two step sons: Michael Fred and wife Linda, Mark Fred and wife Geodee and two step daughters: Ellen Leyerle and husband Michael and Ann Shockley and thirteen step grandchildren.

There will be no public visitation.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded.  Styninger Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements.
