Jamie Edwina Wagoner Spenner, 66 of Centralia, passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Evelyn’s House Hospice in Creve Couer, Missouri. She was born on October 11, 1953 in Centralia, the daughter of Ed and Verna Perkins Barrow. She was preceded in death by her father Ed Barrow, father and mother in law; Vernon and Carolyn Spenner, a step son, Army Specialist Brian C. Spenner, a sister Jody Barrow and a brother James “Buddy” Barrow. She married Wayde Spenner ion October 29, 2005 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton and he survives. Also surviving are her parents; Allen and Verna Hixenbaugh of Centralia. A son Jeff Murphy of Centralia, a step son Scott (Carol-Lynn) Spenner of Idaho Falls, ID, a grandson Andrew Murphy of Centralia, step grandchildren; Emma, Aurora and Ethan Spenner. 2 sisters; Nita Barrow Zimmerman and Jeannie Jones both of Centralia and a special niece Elizabeth Zimmerman of Centralia.
Jamie retired as a self employed cosmetologist in Centralia. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton and was a volunteer at the Centralia Humane Society. She loved to cut hair, listen to music, travel and spend time with her friends and her beloved cats.
A private family memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Styninger Funeral & Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton with Rev. Nate Wollenberg officiating. The service will be live streamed on the funeral home Facebook page. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Centralia Humane Society. Since a public visitation is not possible due to the Governor’s executive order on group assemblies, expressions of sympathy are encouraged and may be left on the tribute page of Jamie’s obituary at www.styningerfuneralhomes.com or on the funeral homes Facebook page.
