Howard Gustav Holle 90 of Hoyleton, passed away at 10:05 a.m. on Saturday, April 06, 2013 at Washington County Hospital in Nashville. He was born on September 23, 1922 in Hoyleton the son of Theodore and Emilie Bruhn Holle. He married Beulah Spenner of July 1, 1945 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton. He is survived by his wife of 67 years. Also surviving are 3 sons; Larry (Mary) Holle of Stewardson, Darrel (Connie) Holle and Nathan (Debbie) Holle both of Hoyleton. A daughter Carolyn (John) Bradford of Collinsville. 8 grandchildren; Brandon (Kate) Holle of Fishers, IN., Derek Holle of Glen Carbon, Krista (Chris) Baucom of Ballwin, MO., Shana (Kenny) Kozuszek and Corrine (Lucas) Moeller both of Nashville, Donovan, Devin and Jane Holle of Hoyleton. 7 great grandchildren; Audrey Holle, Kylie Kozuszek, Seldon Kozuszek, Bradford Baucom, Matthew Baucom, Harper Moeller and Lennon Moeller.7 sister and brother in laws; Dorothy Jones, Gertie Holle, Loretta Eickmeyer, Janet (Eugene) Klie, Judi (John) Lawson, Carolyn Spenner, Fran Kincaid along with numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson; Ryan Darrel Holle, brother; Norman Holle,brother in laws; Roy Spenner, Bob Spenner, Vernon Spenner, Ralph Spenner, Kenny Fusselman, Paul Huge, Leroy Jones and Kenny Eickmeyer. Sister in laws; Maxine Spenner and Irene Fusselman.
Mr. Holle farmed in the Hoyleton area his entire life. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton where he held several offices including; elder, trustee and school board. He was a member of the Washington County Farm Bureau, served 18 years on the Washington County ASCS committee and loved to travel. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Nashville Hornet basketball.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10th at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton with Rev.Joshua Theilen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to his church, Washington County Hospital, Juvenile Diabetes Fund or KFUO. Styninger Funeral Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements.
