Hannah EA (Bent) Povolish

Hannah E.A. Povolish, 48 of Okawville, formerly of Mascoutah, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025 at the scene of an automobile accident in Lively Grove.  She was born on June 19, 1977 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Howard and Vicki Gatewood Bent.  She was preceded in death by her father.

Left to mourn her passing is her mother Vicki Bent of Okawville. Her five children, Nichole (Richard) Cummings of Mascoutah, IL, Chelsea (Brennan) Hollowell of Glen Carbon, IL, David M. Povolish Jr. of Okawville, IL, Dylan Povolish of Mascoutah, IL, and Dalton Povolish of Okawville, IL; her grandchildren, Wyatt Povolish, Winston Povolish, Lucas Cummings, Waylon Povolish, Wayden Povolish, Maximus Cummings and Levi Hollowell. 4 brothers; Francis and David Bent of Okawville, Howard Bent of Massachusetts and Michael Bent of New York.  3 sisters; Dona Bryant Courtner of Butler, TN, Florence Hoy of Dwight, IL and Cynthia Atkins of Conway, SC.  Also surviving is her life partner Clayton Medcalf of Okawville.

Hannah was a sales manager for Rector Truck and Trailer in Sparta.  She loved to sing and play keyboard. Spending time with her family and grandchildren were her life.  She was a very giving person and always doing for others.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
