Obituary
Gary Linn Beckner 67 formerly of Nashville, passed away at 6:34 a.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born on September 21, 1954 in Belleville, the son of Lorell and Dorothy Crowl Beckner. He was preceded in death by his father and a son in law Anthony Conaway. Left to mourn his passing is his mother Dorothy Dunnigan of Freeburg. 3 sons; Justin Reinkensmeier of Belleville, Josh (Tracy Sprehe) Beckner of Nashville and Benjamin Simpson of Charleston. 4 daughters; Carla Barnum of Deerfield, FL, Tanya Conaway of Fairview Heights, Jessica (Adam) Pflasterer and Jamie Cooley both of Nashville. 2 sisters; Judith Deffenbaugh of Mayestown and Donna Smith of Belleville. 19 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and his partner of 10 years Donna Toenjes.
Gary was a self employed carpenter and enjoyed flat track and dirt bike racing. He was an accomplished baseball and softball player and excelled at track. He enjoyed watching any and all sports.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association
