Frances Mae Rueter, 86 of Centralia, passed away at 8:24 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Fireside House Nursing Home in Centralia. She was born on October 21, 1934 in Irvington Township, the daughter of Martin and Esther Dodillet Selle. She married Elden Richard Rueter on June 28, 1958 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton and he passed away on November 16, 1992. Also preceding her in death were her parents and mother and father in law; Louise and Edwin Rueter. Left to mourn her passing is her brother Robert (Janet) Selle of Centralia. 3 nephews; Corey (Gina), Jason (Stacie) and Justin Selle. 5 nieces; Wendy (Shane) Peltes, Tammy (Dave) Bahr, Kim (John) Wieter, Laurie (Mike) Knutte and Jodi (Zach) Weber. 19 great nieces and nephews. Special friends; Greg (Charlotte Howe) Kleeman and Charlene Howe.
Elden and Frances were farmers in the Hoyleton area and he also drove a truck. Frances was a bookkeeper and secretary for Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia retiring in 1998. She then worked as a secretary for at Kleeman Auction and Appraisal Company in Centralia. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton where she was baptized on November 15, 1934 by Pastor F.A.C. Meyer and confirmed on March 21, 1948 by Pastor Rudolph Reith. God provided many years of blessings to Frances and Elden.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton with Rev. Nathan Wollenberg officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton or Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia. Styninger Funeral & Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements.
