Fern M. Roethemeyer, 97 of Nashville, passed away at 8:35 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Washington County Hospital in Nashville.  She was born on November 4, 1915 in Plum Hill, the daughter of George and Anna Droege Hagebusch.  She was baptized at Ebeneezer Lutheran church in Okawville by Rev. Harre and confirmed on March 3, 1924 at Immanuel Lutheran church in Okawville by Rev. Duensing.  She married Melvin Roethemeyer on August 6, 1939 in St. Louis and he passed away on May 1, 1979.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, 2 brothers; George and Vesper Hagebusch and 4 sisters; Alverda Worker, Pearl Hagebusch, Violet Storck and Mildred Hettenhausen.

Left to mourn her passing are 2 nephews; Donald Storck of Centralia and James Worker of California.  4 Nieces; Marian Kimbro of Fillmore, Ruth Ann Schien of Alton, Fay Schneider of St. Louis and Carol Brockman of Okawville.

Mrs. Roethemeyer was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran church in Nashville and retired as the book keeper for her husband's business; R & N Implement Company in Nashville. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18th at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Russell Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Nashville.  Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
