Dolores Hake, 96 of Hoyleton, passed away at 8:46 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. She was born on August 1, 1922 in Centralia, the daughter of Henry F. and Louise Brink Tieman. She married Howard W. Hake on July 9, 1944 in Centralia and he passed away on July 10, 1988. Also preceding her in death were her parents and a daughter Deborah Lynn. Left to mourn her passing are 3 daughters; Nancy (Michael) Bond of Woodlawn, Carolyn (Kevin) Meyer of Hoyleton and Marilyn (Robert) Guerrieri of Plainfield. A sister; Sally Eilers of Centralia. 5 grandchildren; Eric, Tyler and Trey Meyer, Jessica (Ray) Winkler and Matthew Guerrieri.
Mrs. Hake was a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother. She lived in the Hoyleton area for over 60 years. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton where she was active in the Altar Guild. She was a member of the Washington County Hospital Auxillary. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping and spending time with her family and going to her grandchildren’s acitivites.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton with Rev. William Causer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion UCC. Styninger Funeral & Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements.
